Workshops
Designing Your Business Idea
Duration;
- Ideally run as a five-day residential course.
- Modules;
- All the modules were originally developed for Insight Out, NESTA's creative business start-up programme, and are copyright to them. Percy currently manages Insight Out for NESTA in the Midlands and Southwest, and is happy to arrange a course in your area.
The following modules are all covered as part of the Designing your business idea training programme.
- Values To make your business a success, it's important that you embody your personal values in your business. It affects how you work, how much energy you'll want to put it and how you interact with your customers. Getting it right will be what makes the difference between your business and the competition. This module gets you to explore your values in relation to your business idea, and make sure you're on the right track.
- Evidence modelling Evidence modelling is a way of helping you to envisage the future of your business. Just as you need a cash flow plan to project your future finances, evidence modelling is a way of projecting what your business will be like when it's up and running. It's an invaluable tool to help you understand what you can do to make your business vision into reality, and where you need to make adjustments to your plans.
- Blueprint modelling Blueprint modelling helps you visualise how your business will actually operate. You'll learn how to map out all the steps you need to take to deliver your product or service by means of a detailed flow chart - from generation through realisation to distribution.
- Relationship modelling This module helps you determine the business relationships you need to make for your idea to succeed. Who's going to help you run your business and deliver your product or service? What deals do you need to make to ensure they'll provide the support you need in key business areas such as distribution? Discover the financial implications these relationships have on your business so you can make any necessary price adjustments accordingly.
In addition to the modules listed above, Percy provides one-to-one coaching, next level planning, and guidance in 'what to do if things start to go wrong' as part of this course.
Percy is able to run this extended workshop within any training organisation or business.
